Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Acceptum application or website. By creating an account or using Acceptum, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Acceptum is a receipt capture, expense management and accounting integration platform operated by Westbrook Receipts Limited, a company registered in Ireland. Our service is designed for small businesses, sole traders and individuals in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Acceptum. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must notify us immediately at hello@acceptum.app if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account secure.
You may not use another person's account without their permission. You may not create accounts for the purpose of abusing or circumventing our service.
You agree to use Acceptum only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
You retain ownership of all receipt images and business data you upload to Acceptum. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to process, store and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Acceptum service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that any data you upload does not infringe the rights of any third party and complies with applicable law.
Acceptum uses artificial intelligence to extract information from receipt images. While we strive for accuracy, AI analysis is not infallible. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted receipt data before using it for tax, accounting or financial purposes. Acceptum does not provide tax advice and the information provided by our service does not constitute professional financial or accounting advice.
Acceptum integrates with third-party services including Xero. Your use of these integrations is subject to the terms and conditions of those third-party providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or actions of third-party services.
Acceptum offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Pricing details are available within the application. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a subscription period except where required by law.
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice where possible. We will not be liable for any interruption or discontinuation of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Acceptum and Westbrook Receipts Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits or financial loss arising from reliance on AI-extracted receipt data.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the three months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Westbrook Receipts Limited and its officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms or your infringement of any third-party rights.
The Acceptum name, logo, application and website are the intellectual property of Westbrook Receipts Limited. You may not use our branding, copy our application or reproduce our content without our written permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity or misuse the service. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings screen in the app. Upon account deletion your data will be removed within 30 days.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Acceptum shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
